This handcrafted statement ring features a gorgeous piece of rose cut Smoky Quartz that shimmers in the light, paired with a beautiful round Rhodolite Garnet that is a luminous dark pink colour. Like all my work, this ring is a complete one of a kind, made using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced crystals and environmentally friendly methods.

Rhodolite garnet is created when the minerals Almandine and Pyrope mix together over time. It gets its name from the Greek word 'Rhódon' which means rose, describing its unique pink-purple undertone that sets it apart from other red crystals. The refractive index for Rhodolite Garnet is very high, which is why it has a beautiful luster and shine when the light hits it. The word 'Garnet' also has a rich history, stemming from the Latin name for pomegranate 'Granatum', because of the resemblance the gemstone bears to the seeds of that fruit.
